Problem
Angular changed substantially between the NgModule era and Angular 20: standalone components, signals, zoneless change detection, functional guards and interceptors, and new testing defaults. Experience with earlier versions does not automatically translate into fluency with the current APIs, and much of what is published online mixes versions or describes experimental APIs as stable.
Goals
- Rebuild hands-on fluency with modern Angular without relying on AI assistants.
- Cover the areas a senior role is expected to master: RxJS and signals, change detection and performance, router and forms, HTTP and security (OAuth 2.0 / OIDC with Keycloak), UI and accessibility, testing and architecture.
- Verify every API and command against Angular 20 instead of trusting memory.
Architecture
The handbook is organized in ten modules (A–J) and 42 chapters. Each chapter states its objectives, explains the mental model, shows configuration and code, lists common errors and alternatives, and ends with interview questions and exercises whose solutions live in separate files. Nine debugging sets and seven mock interviews close the loop.
Key decisions
- Angular 20 as the single reference version. Differences with versions 21 and 22 are recorded explicitly, including which APIs are experimental in each version.
- Verification over recall. Examples were checked in scratch Angular 20.3 projects with more than 500 specs, with Keycloak and a private npm registry running in Docker.
- Plain Markdown. The content is portable and builds into a static site with MkDocs Material.
Implementation and deliverables
- Documentation: the handbook itself (in Spanish), to be published as a MkDocs site.
- Implementations: OpsHub, the practice application built stage by stage alongside the chapters.
